Devin Drobka Shukke Tokudo began studying Zen in 2020, first sitting zazen in his living room and eventually practicing at the Milwaukee Zen Center, where he received the precepts from Reirin Gumbel. Devin is currently studying with Shoho Michael Newhall, Roshi.
Devin has been an active jazz drummer for the past 22 years and an educator for 15. His Zen practice has been helping transform not only his life but also the lives of his current and past students.
Currently, Devin leads a sitting group at his home zendo, where he would love to continue to open the door and the space of silence for all who would like to come sit.
